Legal
& Ethical issues
In terms of photo shoot, this might be in terms of
misrepresentation, copyright, royalties
LEGAL
In terms of
legal issues, these tends to be about who owns the rights to something, or
whether you are slandering (saying something about someone that is not true),
or sometimes it can be a legal issue of making sure your content is not
breaking the law (as in there is no suffering to animals depicted)
ETHICAL
Ethics are
more of a minefield and there are certain ethical considerations that we have
in the west that are important to understand. Ethics is about what society
views as right.
Such as –
is there a balance between male/female genders
If there
are, are these stereotypical roles (eg
powerful and strong male, weak female
often dressed provocatively)
Is there
swearing, are there weapons?
Southpark
is controversial because a lot of people disapprove of its ethics. However, the
producers might argue that it is for a small cult audience who are adult enough
to know what is right and what is wrong.
What are
the legal and ethical issues of your production and can you justify them?

Copy

The font
could be seen as copy righted as I used it off of a website online and did
not create it myself.

Permission
for the images used
|
I will
solve this by getting my model to sign the model release form to show I have
permission to use these images for my work.

Violence
|
The genre
is ‘horror’ so my image and makeup on the cover relates to this. However,
some people may disagree with this poster due to it being explicit and gory.
Which could lead to people having issues or disagreeing with this movie
poster.

Stereo
typing
|
I could
be seen as stereo typing, as I am using a younger girl which can cause issues
with vulnerability.
